Time To Catch Up

Amanda and Gabriel are back!!! They got here on Nov. 17th and we decided to keep it a secret so everyone would be surprised on Thanksgiving. Chris wasn't able to come with them this time. He's in school and couldn't get leave. He'll find out in a couple of weeks if he can take some time and then we'll get him up here for a late Christmas. It's been crazy around here (yes, even more so than usual). Rayna and Clint are settling in to being new parents (everyone knows how that is) and they are doing a great job. Precious little Isaac is a very good baby which helps alot. Gabriel just loves his little cousin and wants to be as close as possible to him when ever he's around. I'm so happy and thankful to have that little bundle so close to me and to have two beautiful grandsons for Nana and Papa to spoil. This is going to be a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks Giving

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. It was great having Amanda and Gabriel home and everyone was so surprised to see them.

Isaac Joseph Bearss

Well, here he is...my second grandson, and he looks just like his mother (right now anyway). She had all that hair when she was born too. It was wonderful being able to hold him today...can he really be my Rayna's baby...wow, time flies! Can it be that long ago that I was holding her....so precious :-)

He Has Arrived!

Isaac Joseph Bearss arrived last night at 11:39 p.m. He weighed in at 9 lbs. 1 oz. Rayna did a very good job and was only in labor for a little over 5 hours. To bad we didn't have a pool going on his date because I would have won!!! I was going to go to the hospital last night but I have such a cold I thought it better not to....hopefully they let me in today!

Mystery Solved

I had my brother look at the pic of our little visitor and he said it's a flying squirrel. So we had Rocky in our basement.....I wonder if Bullwinkle came along with him? How many of you don't know what I'm talking about......Rocky the flying squirrel and Bullwinkle the moose? :-)

What Is It?

Last night while Paul and I were watching TV this little guy appeared. At first I thought it was a chipmunk then I got a better look at it and thought it was a small red squirrel, wrong again. I have no idea what it was but it took us an hour and a half to catch it! It was a cute little thing, I hope it wasn't someones pet that got out of it's cage because it really wasn't afraid of us. We have no idea how it got in but hopefully it was the only one.

Pre-Halloween Party

I can't believe I talked Paul into wearing that angel costume! Rayna said our costumes were very fitting...she really can't think I'm that bad :-)

Make A Prediction

Rayna is due on December 1st. I don't think she's going to make it to December.....I'm saying November 28th. Does any one else have a guess?

Arts & Crafts With Mrs. Bearss

We went to Rayna and Clint's for supper last night and had a little art lesson. They are making a wall hanging with a print of everyone's hands, kind of like a family tree. We had fun making them, it's strange to watch adults play with paint :-) Thanks for a delicious supper guys!

Sausage Anyone!

We had a cold rainy weekend so what do we do when it rains.......we cook something! This time they decided to make 45 pounds of sausage!!! I think we'll probably have enough for the winter :-)

Columbus Day Weekend

We went to the Cape for a great long weekend. We found so many treasures at the flea market, yard sales and the dump gift shop. The first "treasure" was our new friend Miss KiKi. Michael found her at the dump gift shop and we had so many laughs hanging out with her all weekend. She even helped Joe make some fresh pasta for supper. I got a beautiful wooden mantel clock for $20.00 at an estate sale and we all found some great hats at the flea market. But the best treasure of all was this antique rocking chair that I got for $5.00!!! We went out to eat at the Chatham Bars Inn (very ritzy!) and it took so long for our food to be served (3 hours!!!!) they gave us our meal for free. Thank goodness we had some soup to hold us over. Another beautiful weekend on the Cape with great friends.

Look at that crazy hair on me!!!
