Beach Baby

We went to Narragansett State Beach the other day. The water was beautiful but Gabriel insisted on playing in a "pool" that someone had dug and filled with seaweed....yuck! But he loved it. He is turning into quite the little beach baby.

New Haircut

What a little cutie! I love this new haircut!

Papa's Best Friend

We went to Newport last weekend to see the Black Ships Festival. I guess the ships sailed before we got there because we didn't see any. It was a beautiful day by the water so we spent a nice afternoon just hanging around Newport. Paul and Gabriel had a great time in a nice shady spot in the park.

Summer Catch-Up

I hope you're all ready for this explosion of pictures :-) I really haven't had time to work on my blog but, as I'm sure you all know, I've taken hundreds of pictures! So here comes the catch-up. I'll start with the oldest pics first. We started off at the Cape with the Six Pack. We had beautiful weather! We went to the parade in town, had some great campfires with smores, excellent watermelon mojitos and lots of laughs on the beach. Joe and Paul dug quahogs, they got lobsters and all had seafood Sunday (everyone except me, I don't eat any seafood - a hotdog is fine by me :-) We also went out to eat on night at the "haunted" Orleans Inn. We didn't see any ghosts but we had fun searching for them. The owner of the Inn let us wonder all through it. It's a beautiful old place but no ghosts :-) Karen and Enrique left on Monday, Rayna and Gabriel got there Tuesday morning and we all took off for P-town before Joe and Michael had to head home. It doesn't seem like we can get through a summer without at least one trip to P-town. Wednesday started out beautiful, nice sunny clear day, then disaster struck. Gabriel fell on the kitchen floor and smashed his mouth. There was so much blood I couldn't tell if he knocked his teeth out or not. His gums and top lip blew up like a balloon! We found a real nice dentist that took us right in. He took a couple of x-rays and told us he'd be ok and his teeth were still there....thank goodness!!! We spent the rest of the day in Chatham and all feeling pretty bad for my poor little buddy :-( The next day, off to Skaket beach. At first Gabriel wasn't to sure of the sand but he got use to it and really enjoyed himself. Clint joined us on Friday and spent the weekend entertaining Gabriel (which was a nice break). Paul and Clint left on Sunday and Rayna and I decided to stay a few extra days. Those days, as you can see were spent on Nauset beach, which is my favorite and seems to be Gabriel's too. It amazed me that he just sat on his towel playing the whole time we were there, except for a few swim breaks. We left on Wednesday and of course neither one of us wanted to leave. There's something about Cape Cod that I really haven't found any where else. Maybe it's the childhood memories with my parents and grandparents but it sure is a beautiful, peaceful place.

Happy 4th!

I wonder what people think when they see us. But then again, who cares :-) We sure do have fun!

P-town Hat Show

I wonder if they mind that we play with all their hats...oh well.

I couldn't resist buying this shirt...I know, what a dork!

First Trip To The Dentist

I'm so happy that we've been able to do all of Gabriel's "firsts" but this one we could have done without. Look at that poor little mouth :-(

Great Vacation

I've been back from the Cape for almost a week and I haven't shared any pics yet....where does the time go! We had a great time, Gabriel loved the beach! It was so cool taking him to the beaches where I spent my childhood with my parents and grandparents and where his mom and aunt enjoyed so many great summer days. I will get moving on the pics....what a slacker!!!

Look at that crazy hair on me!!!
