Rayna's Baby Shower

And was it ever a shower! I planned to have the shower in the yard but we had to go to plan B when we got rained out, it poured all day!! but it was still alot of fun. We cleared the living room out of all the furniture and turned it into a little jungle. My wonderful husband and friends ran the whole thing. Joyce cooked, Joe and Michael set everything up and served all day and Paul ran the omelet station (it was a brunch). They even cleaned up :-) Everyone thought I hired a caterer. Rayna was surprised and had a great time visiting with all her friends, she got some great things too. A good start for all they'll need for my new little grandson.

Little Cabin In The Woods

We had a great weekend in Narragansett at the cabin. The weather was perfect...we even took a midnight swim. I think it was the last for the season unless it's something heated :-) We certainly do have some great friends!

At The Car Wash

It was great day for washing cars, the only problem, Paul had to go to work so our car wasn't there. It was fun and we all went for a great ride with the top down when we were done.

North Conway, NH

We went to NH last week with Joe and Michael......what a perfect week!!! Every day was sunny and the temp. was perfect. We had a great time being tourist and just hanging around the pool. Paul and I were able to get a couple of days in on the bike, perfect weather for riding :-) The leaves have started to change up there already so we had the benefit of both seasons - warm summer days and beautiful fall colors. It was a great week that went by to fast and as usual we had a great time with great friends.

Castle in the Clouds

This was beautiful. The castle is located in the Ossipee Mtns. and was built in 1913 using the granite from the mountains it was built on. Paul was amazed at the bathrooms - they had showers that looked like the spa's we have today. They had so many other conveniences that you would think the place was built much later that it was. It was an incredible place and what a view!!

So Relaxing

After all our hiking and mountain climbing (yeah right!) it was great to come back to the pool and hot tub for a relaxing afternoon dip.

Picnic In The Sky

We rode the chair lift to the top of Attitash Mtn.- Michael wasn't happy about the ride up there (he's not crazy about heights) but he went along with our plan, what a trooper :-) We had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the beautiful view - can't say to much about the seating though except that it was a little hard :-)

Dianna's Bathes

We hiked up to an area called Dianna's Bathes. It was beautiful and of course if there's water, I have to go in it. It was a little cold at first (probably 48 or 50 degrees) but the sun was warm and it sure was refreshing! We had another picnic -we sure were outdoorsy this trip - and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon with great friends.

So Strange!

We went to Foxwoods Casino to see this exhibit....very strange!! It was made up of all human bodies and body parts. It really was pretty fascinating to see every part of the body detailed but still, pretty strange. 20/20 did a story on this exhibit a while ago, they said these people (all from China) were political prisoners that were executed, without a trial, and then sent to these slaughterhouses to prepare them for this exhibit. They didn't find anything but it tweaked my curiosity. Like I said, it was very strange but interesting.

We're All Alone :-(

Well my little buddy has gone back to Arizona. I can't believe how quiet it is around here. I had such a great time having him here with us, now it's back to Paulie and I....until Christmas anyway :-)

Hurricane Bob

The hurricane didn't effect the weather but it sure did make some big waves. This was low tide, high tide covered the whole beach and moved so much sand that it covered 7 of the 10 steps to get down onto the beach and it covered 4ft. of the sign post.

Chatham Fish Pier

We waited for the fishing boats to come in but all we saw were seals....they were waiting too :-)

Supper On The Beach

We drove out on Nauset beach for a sunset supper. The water was beautiful and the sunset was even better. Good job cooking Paulie, not a bit of sand was added :-)

Look at that crazy hair on me!!!
